RWG attorneys have extensive experience in insurance coverage issues. The Practice Group provides a wide-range of litigation and non-litigation services to the Firm’s clients.
With respect to litigation, the Practice Group handles litigation involving declaratory relief and contract claims resulting from coverage disputes against joint powers authorities and private insurers in a variety of forums.
Non-litigation related services performed by the Practice Group includes opinion work providing coverage evaluation and advice regarding various insurance matters involving construction, professional liability, public entity tort claims, employee theft and other claims under various types of insurance policies and insurance coverages.
The Practice Group provides advisory services to evaluate the adequacy of insurance and indemnity provisions in public agency agreements for various types of public improvement projects. The Practice Group also drafts insurance provisions to provide adequate insurance protection for public agencies for their involvement in public improvement projects.
