Overview
California has been in the forefront of addressing climate change through various legislative mandates that impact local agencies. RWG advises clients on implementation of legislation and other climate change issues including:
- adoption and implementation of climate action plans
- integration of housing, transportation and greenhouse gas emissions as required by Senate Bill 375
- California Environmental Quality Act streamlining opportunities through advanced planning with respect to climate change and greenhouse gas emissions
- creation and operation of community choice aggregation to allow communities to enhance the use of renewable energy sources
The aggressive greenhouse gas emission reductions goals adopted by the State will continue to present challenges for local agencies, and RWG is well positioned to advise agencies through those challenges.
